Worry: “Anyone could book with us”
The patient verifies once with a code from an SMS
A booking form on a website is filled in by anyone, and the surgery has no idea who is behind the appointment. Fake bookings show up in the morning, when nobody arrives.
How it works
- The patient enters their phone number.
- A code arrives on it and they type it in.
- From then on they sign in with a PIN or a fingerprint. Without the verification SMS a new patient cannot sign in at all.
What you do
Nothing, the check runs on its own.
Common objections
- Does the patient do this every time?
- No, only the first time on that phone. After that a PIN or a fingerprint is enough.
- Can online booking be stopped with it?
- There is no single switch for that. Turning off the verification SMS stops new sign-ins.
- Do we pay for the verification messages?
- Yes, it is a message sent. During the trial it is free.
