A patient has moved away but stayed in the records. They book online and take an appointment from someone who actually comes. You find out on the morning itself.
How it works
- You mark the patient inactive.
- They can no longer book online and get no offers.
- The appointment history stays; deletion is a different thing, done only at the patient’s request.

Common objections
- Is this the same as deleting the patient?
- No. Taking them out only stops booking; the records remain. Deletion is a separate function.
- Can it be undone?
- Yes. You can mark the patient active again at any time.
- What if they ring wanting an appointment?
- The nurse books them as before, or puts them back among the active ones.
